Apple and Chilli Sauce

Homemade Apple and Chilli Sauce.  Such a lovely accompaniment to so many things.  This goes brilliantly with the Pork, Caramelised Onion and Sage Burgers that I publish earlier.  However it’s amazing with cold meats and cheese.

This is so easy to cook and makes around 2 small jars worth.

Macros per 2 Tablespoons:

Calories 78, Fat 4.2g, Carbs 9.9g, Fiber 0.9g and Protein 0.2g

  • 50g Butter
  • 50g Golden Caster Sugar
  • 550g Peeled and Cored Bramley Apples
  • 1 Large Red Chilli

You will need:

  • Scales
  • Peeler
  • Apple Corer
  • Sharp Knife
  • Vegetable Chopping Board
  • Small Saucepan
  • Spatula
  • 2 Small Clean Jam Jars and Lids

  • Melt your butter in your saucepan over a medium heat

Add your sugar and mix in well

  • Peel, core and chop up your bramley apples

  • Finely chop your chilli

  • Add your apples and chilli to saucepan

    Stir in well

  • Simmer for 15 minutes

    Stir occasionally

  • Until apples are softened.

You can stir vigorously to remove any lumps.

I prefer mine with a little texture

Add to your jars, screw lids on tight and keep in fridge one sauce cooled.

  • Serve and enjoy

Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

Vit e sorbet

Loving this Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet from The Body Shop at the moment.

Helps mattify your skin (so it doesn’t get oily) I keep this in my fridge and put it on first thing after I have washed my face.

The coolness especially in this heat is amazing.

Vitamin E can speed up cell regeneration, which can create an anti- ageing effect, making skin look younger. Brilliant to help prevent sun damage, acne, scars and wrinkles.

Love this latest addition to The Vitamin E Range from The Body Shop.

Lovely hands and lifting?

A question I am often asked is how do I have smooth skin on my hands and lift?

I do take care of them as no one wants a massage that feels like it’s being done with sandpaper 🙂

My 3 musts that work for me are:

  1. Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop is an amazing hand cream. Skin is transformed after using it and no greasy residue. I use this when I wake up, after I lift and before bed. Sometimes extra if a deadlifting day
  2. Liquid Chalk.  Helps my grip to.
  3. Wrist Straps when required which is usually when I am doing walking lunges or deadlifts. Using some pretty decent weights then

One of my food loves – PB2

One of my kitchen cupboard favourites is PB2 or PB2 with dark chocolate at the moment.

You can make it runny and have over pancakes, mix it in with your overnight oats etc it is delicious.

Another plus point is if you are cutting back the calories (I am on a cut as going to get that 6 pack popping) then this is 85% less fat then normal nut butters and I can still enjoy it.

1 serving PB2 Macros is:

Calories 45, Fat 1.5g, Carbs 5g, Fiber 2g and Protein 5g

Happy Days!

TDT Recovery Spray

Just to be clear, on this page I will share things I use that I think may help other people, no payments taken 🙂

I have found this spray to be fantastic. Helps me recover from a big session in the gym with limited DOMS.  Best spray I have used – Simply Ripping.
